D.C. Lottery
The D.C. Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board is a vital component to aiding the District’s economy by supporting education, parks and recreation, public safety, housing and senior and children services. Since its inception, the D.C. Lottery has contributed nearly $1.5 billion to the general fund of the District of Columbia. Revenue generated through the D.C. Lottery supports city services such as education and public safety. The Charitable Gaming Department has helped community organizations raise more than $93 million during the last 25 years, extending the social safety net for those in need.
