One of Charleston, W.Va.’s favorite celebrations – OktoberWest – returns to the West Side’s Elk City District Sept. 30.
The outdoor event is one of the state’s largest craft beer festivals and features traditional German dishes, live music and a stein-holding contest.
Charleston Main Streets (CMS), the parent organization of Charleston West Side, looked to CRA Film to capture the 2016 edition of OktoberWest.
The piece is energetic and immersive, placing viewers within the festival experience.
"The video encompasses everything fun and engaging about OktoberWest, Charleston's West Side and the Elk City District,” said Adam Stollings, CMS director of marketing and promotions.
"We hope people see that OktoberWest isn't just another craft beer event but one with vibrant music, great food and traditional German offerings – an event that really showcases the true character of our district and its businesses. CRA did a wonderful job of showcasing the attendee experience at OktoberWest."
CMS is using the video to promote the 10th annual OktoberWest, which is the West Side’s biggest fundraiser.
It’s scheduled for 4 pm to 9 pm Sept. 30.
All funds raised go directly back into Charleston’s West Side programs, public art and community and economic revitalization projects.
