West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice has appointed Alisha Maddox, CRA's chief communications officer, to the West Virginia Parkways Authority effective July 1.
The West Virginia Parkways Authority has statutory authority to provide for the construction, development and maintenance of the 88-mile interstate between Charleston and Princeton, known as the West Virginia Turnpike.
The Authority also oversees all activities for the rest areas and travel plazas along the Turnpike and including the tourist destination, Tamarack.
In a letter this week to Alisha, Gov. Justice congratulated her and said he is appreciative of her willingness to serve.
“You are a valuable asset to the board as it makes decisions that will improve the lives of all West Virginians,” he wrote.
Alisha represents the 17th Senatorial District and the 2nd Congressional District, succeeding Victor Grigoraci.
Her term ends June 30, 2021.
