Friends, family and colleagues recognized Vice President and Executive Producer of Charles Ryan Associates (CRA) Film Rick Mogielski as the 2018 Charlie Award winner during an evening celebration in the Charleston, West Virginia, office.
“We are delighted to present the award to a great communicator, a strategic thinker and a determined leader,” said Susan Lavenski, CRA’s chief executive officer.
Rick is the fourth individual to receive the Charlie Award – a tradition started by CRA as a way to recognize outstanding professionals who demonstrate strong dedication and commitment for excellence in the field of communications and/or marketing.
CRA founder Charlie Ryan was given the inaugural award during CRA’s 40th anniversary in 2014. Charleston Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) president and CEO Alisa Bailey was given the award in 2015, and Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA) CEO Jeff Southard was given the award in 2016.
Rick joined CRA in January 1987. Being a part of the CRA family for more than 30 years, Rick has overseen brand and creative development for a diverse set of clients. He brings an abundance of industry experience to every project he touches.
Charlie Ryan was present at the reception last night to celebrate the recognition of his former friend and colleague. “It was a joy and pleasure to work with Rick throughout the years,” Ryan said. “He always had a creative eye and industry perspective that I knew would get him far in this career, and it has. I am truly honored to stand by you as you receive this award,” Ryan added.
