VCCS New Horizons

The Virginia Community College System oversees a network of 23 community colleges across the commonwealth, making learning opportunities more available to all. Recently, VCCS' Student Success Center reached out to CRA to partner on a logo and event collateral for its New Horizons education conference, and our creative team was excited to help make the event a success.

While the conference was planned as an in-person event after a two-year virtual stint, we knew it was important to develop a cohesive strategy and branding that could be adjusted to virtual if needed. The client provided background on how it developed the event theme of “Building Opportunity,” which included the idea of a roadmap or blueprint to success and inspired the page-turning logo. We also incorporated the four colors of the logo into icons representing four key areas that support student success and were the foundation of conference programming. We provided collateral—including design and print facilitation—including a conference presentation template, event programming and podium signs, and graphics for the event site and mobile app.
