This year’s meeting was particularly exciting as 2019 marks the 45th anniversary since Charlie Ryan himself founded the firm. Our theme for the meeting was CRA Sapphire, which is the official symbol of a 45th anniversary and, to us, represents the culmination of nearly a half century of innovation, passion and drive.

For the second year in a row, CRA sponsored Guys Night Out, a YWCA of Charleston fundraiser for its Sojourner's Shelter for Homeless Women & Families. Sojourner’s provides emergency shelter and supportive services around the clock, every day of the year for homeless single women, women with children, men with custody of their children and intact families. So, it’s a cause CRA is proud to get behind.

CRA recently won eight awards at the 2019 Public Relations Society of America-WV (PRSA-WV) Crystal Awards hosted at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, W.Va. CRA took home awards in categories including collateral, event materials and external communications campaigns for clients such as Appalachian Power and BrickStreet Insurance and Motorists Insurance Group.

CRA accepted four PRSA Awards at the 2019 Virginia PRSA Awards at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond. hese awards included a Capital Award for DC Lottery’s website as well as two Commonwealth Awards in Community Relations for Virginia State Police’s Insurance Fraud Program (IFP) and Help Eliminate Auto Theft (HEAT) awareness campaigns.
